BHOPAL: The city will be relieved of barricaded roads as the district administration is going to lift the corona curfew on Tuesday. The police will completely open over 100 traffic points out of 181 points that are sealed with barricades. On the remaining points, police will carry out their routine checking drives. The prime squares and roads will no longer be barricaded. All the roads that were turned one-way will now be open for traffic movement from both the sides. Police may use barricades at night as the city will be under curfew between 8 pm and 6 am. Also, there are chances of roads getting barricaded between Friday night and Monday morning.

Besides, the number of cops deployed on the roads will also be reduced to 1000, instead of 1450 that are presently deployed all around the city.Police routine checking drive will continue.

The barricades will be removed from those areas where there is less traffic congestion.

On the other hand the residents and even the government employees have demanded the removal of barricades from all over the city.†They say that they are bound to travel extra distances and if roads are open, their time will be saved.

Policemen near barricades often misbehave with their drivers. The emergency services should not be obstructed by the cops, but they refuse to open barricades and thus our drivers opt to take a longer route to reach their stops.
