Dewas : Meeting of Dewas Tourism Promotion Council under the aegis of District Collector Ashutosh Awasthi was held at the conference hall at Collector’s Office on Wednesday. In which it was decided that a cafeteria, a KIOSK and a hawker zone will be built in the newly constructed hall at Maa Chamunda Tekri in addition to a Sulabh toilet complex.

Other tourist spots of the district like Nemavar Ghat, Kawadiya Hills and others will also be developed. Food fests and adventure sports will also be a part and parcel of various activities. During the meeting it was decided that the Council will use outsourcing for running the cafeteria. Counters to distribute prasad will be operated from the hawker zone and KIOSK. The Collector instructed officers that these counters should be built beautifully on temporary basis.

In the meeting it was also decided that the beautification works should be done at Meetha Talaab and boat facilities should ideally provided to the tourists. A proposal regarding the same will be sent to the Tourism Department. A cafeteria will also be run at the Talaab through outsourcing.

Places such as Nemawar Ghat and Kawadiya Hills will also be developed. A proposal from the Council will be sent to the Tourism Department regarding this matter. Forest Conservator Baroniya said that the Kawadiya Hill area soon will be transferred from Forest Department to Toursim Department.

During the meeting it was also decided at many cultural programs and adventure sports will be organised in the district. Regional Director of M.P Tourism Development Corporation MP Jamaali, Project Coordinator of Urban Development Authority and officers of Municipal Corporation Dewas were also present during this meeting.
