Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Voices of rebellion in the Congress seem to be getting louder by the day. On Tuesday, Congress workers recited Hanuman Chalisa in front of former chief minister Kamal Nath's bungalow to press for a change of candidate in Huzur constituency, Bhopal.

The Congress party has fielded Naresh Gyanchandani from the seat for the upcoming assembly polls to be held next month. A party worker Vishnu Vishwakarma said, “We recited Hanuman Chalisa here because Kamal Nath is a devotee of Lord Hanuman and we believe he would listen to us.

Kamal Nath wants to become the Chief Minister, and party workers are praying that Nath becomes the CM and also wins the Huzur assembly seat.” The workers also claimed that the ticket distribution was not done based on the survey.

In Chhatarpur, the Congress workers have brought out posters with the plea, ‘Priyanka Ji Hamari Suno’ (Priyanka Ji please listen to us). These posters have been mainly put up by leaders who are raising the banner of revolt against ticket distribution.

Earlier, the Congress leaders had staged demonstrations at PCC and at the houses of ex-CMs Digvijaya Singh and Kamal Nath.  Sources claimed that from Wednesday the Congress leaders who have been denied tickets may show their ‘strength’ in the state capital.
