BHOPAL : Three Central social security schemes were launched at a function at Samanvaya Bhawan here on Saturday. The schemes namely Pradhanmantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima, Pradhanmantri Suraksha Bima and Atal Pension Yojana, were launched in the programme in which Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, Minister for External Affairs Sushma Swaraj, former Chief Minister Kailash Joshi, MP Alok Sanjar and MLA Surendra Singh were present. The address of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kolkata was telecast live in the programme.
Chief Minister Chauhan said the benefit of three schemes dedicated by Prime Minister would be given to every person in the state. The registration of eligible persons would be done by launching a drive. He said the three schemes are related to service of poor and they would work as ‘Sanjivani’ to poor and secure their future. Economic security will raise the respect and pride of senior citizens. The percentage of happiness in life would also rise. Expressing gratitude on behalf of people of the state towards the Prime Minister, Chauhan said these schemes would develop new confidence in common man and would create history in social security. Chauhan said state government is deeply connected to social concerns.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj said a new beginning has taken place in the country in social security. A large part of the society is getting pension and insurance. She also highlighted the features of the schemes. Chief Secretary Antony De Sa in his address gave information about the efforts made by the state government for the implementation of the schemes. Rajiv Rishi, Convener of State Level Bankers Society gave welcome address. Commissioner, Institutional Finance, expressed vote of thanks.
As many as 11 beneficiaries of Pradhanmantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana and Pradhanmantri Suraksha Yojana were also given insurance certificates.
