Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth, said that after Operation Sindoor, there is a unique "josh" (energy) among the youth.

The target has been set to increase the number of NCC cadets from 17 lakh to 20 lakh across the country.

He was interacting with media persons on the sidelines of the Special Joint State Representatives and Additional Director General (ADG) Conference of NCC held at Kushabhau Thakre Convention Centre in Bhopal on Tuesday.

He stated that after Operation Sindoor, the entire country is standing united.

The conference will focus on how to expand the reach and activities of the NCC. Chhattisgarh has requested an NCC Directorate, and the Delhi Chief Minister has also expressed interest in supporting the expansion of NCC.

He added that the Prime Minister, the Union Defence Minister, and he himself have all been NCC cadets. “NCC evokes a sense of patriotism and instills a soldier-like spirit among cadets,” he said.

The Minister further said that the Prime Minister has set the vision of making India a developed nation by 2047, and the NCC will play an important role in achieving this goal. “NCC cadets will be the brand ambassadors of a developed nation,” he concluded.
