Fake mark- sheets were printed in Ajay Mehta’s press
BHOPAL: The Special Task Force ( STF) of MP Police has filed FIR in yet another scam – that of providing pass mark- sheets to ineligible students in the State Sanskrit Board. The case is closely linked with MP Jan Abhiyan Parishad vicechairman Dr Ajay Mehta, considered close to chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. He has been already booked in PMT and Vyapam fraud cases. STF sources revealed that the marksheets of ineligible candidates were printed at Mehta’s printing press ATS in Bhopal.
The STF sources said action may be taken against him as the investigation proceeds.The scam was committed during the tenure of former minister of school education Archana Chitnis, who had posted an incharge director in the board and officials said, seven persons, all outsiders, have been booked at present in the case.
The accused booked at present are Harshit Shrivastava, son of Bhushan Shrivastava, Beemakunj, Bhopal, Ramlakhan Sirothiya, resident of Seoni, Udal Singh Thakure, resident of Datia, Hariprasad Tomar, resident of Rajgarh, Tejbali Patel, resident of Rewa, Devendra alias Guddu Mishra, resident of Sidhi and Trivedi Bais, resident of Singrauli. The STF registered case against them under Section 420, 467, 468, 471 of IPC and 65, 66 of IT Act.
The STF sources said, the accused issued mark- sheets of pass category to 600 students who had failed in the exam.Harshit Shrivastava is the main accused in the case and is the manager of the printing press.Earlier, the STF had filed the case on a complaint filed by a resident of Rewa, The State government was well aware of it. The present school education minister Paras Jain changed the director Mahesh Jain, who was of Principal rank.
The director who was shifted to PGBT College, was appointed as in- charge by the previous minister Chitnis, who had earlier came under cloud for State open board fraud case in which director in- charge and several other staffers were booked in the similar fraud case.Around 2000 students were declared passed even as they failed in examination in state open board.
