BHOPAL : The STF, probing the role of BJP leader Sudhir Sharma in Vyapam scam as tout, failed to recovery any documents related with the crimes from his possession, evem four days after taking him under custody. STF ADG Sudhir Sahi, who returned from leave, interrogated the accused.
A team sent to Jhabua, native place of the mining baron, returned empty-handed, said sources. It was sent there to recover papers from his home there.
Sharma was taken into custody July 25 after his surrender in the court. The agency had arrested him in police constables’ recruitment test scam 2012. According to revelation of Vyapam officials, Nitin Mahindra and Dr Pankaj Trivedi, Sharma gave them list of some candidates for selection and they did it.
During interrogation, Sharma said he did not take money from them and got them selected only to oblige them. The STF officials said, no money was recovered from his possession during four days.
The STF sources said, no paper has been seized on tip regarding the crime so far. He will be produced in the court on Wednesday.
The STF will submit progress report in High Court on Wednesday regarding Vyapam scam. Senior officials have already reached Jabalpur to submit the report.
