Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): Two men have been arrested in Jabalpur for printing fake currency worth ₹3 lakh at home using a color printer and a laptop.

The police uncovered the racket after arresting Rohit Dahiya on Monday with a bag full of counterfeit notes.

During questioning, he revealed the name of his partner, Rituraj, who was later taken into custody.

The duo confessed to designing fake notes on a laptop and printing them using high-quality paper and color ink to avoid suspicion.

From their rented house, the police recovered a color printer, laptop, special paper, colored ink, a cutter, and other items used for printing fake notes.

The accused revealed that they designed the fake notes using a laptop and then printed them with the color printer.

The police have taken them on remand to find out how long they had been running this fake currency operation and to whom all they had supplied the counterfeit notes.

How were they caught?

According to information, the case started on Monday when Hanumantal Police arrested a man named Rohit Dahiya with fake notes worth ₹3 lakh.

The fake currency was found inside his bag. He was taken into custody, and based on his questioning, the second accused, Rituraj, was also arrested.

Further investigation revealed that Rituraj printed the fake notes and sold them to others at lower prices. He used to look for people who were less educated or in desperate situations.

A few days ago, Rituraj met Rohit Dahiya and sold him ₹3 lakh worth of fake notes for just ₹25,000.

Before Rohit could pass on the fake currency, he was caught by the police.
