Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A series of meetings has been held before the election of the BJP’s state unit president. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi on Thursday. BJP’s state president VD Sharma also met Shah in Delhi two days ago. Shah will play an important role in electing the party’s state president.
Shah will be present at the valedictory function of the Global Investors’ Summit (GIS) on February 25. Both Shah and Yadav discussed handing over the management of MP Cooperative Dairy Federation to the National Dairy Development Board.
During Shah’s stay in Bhopal, a decision on the issue will be taken. On the other hand, the BJP’s state in-charge Mahendra Singh met former minister Narottam Mishra. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Urban Development Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya met Mishra at his residence on Wednesday.
These meetings have generated a lot of heat in the BJP. According to sources in the party, BJP’s organisational general secretary Ajay Jamwal met the party’s state unit leaders and took feedback on the probable names for the state president’s post. Jamwal has already submitted a report to the central leadership.
