Bhopal:A section in the Congress, demanding change in the state leadership of the party, has launched a strategic campaign. They want to replace the Pradesh Congress Committee chief Kantilal Bhuria by Jyotiraditya Scindia. With this demand, eight Congress MLAs reached Delhi on Sunday to meet AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi. They would meet Gandhi on Monday at 9.30 am to put forward their demand, said sources.
The MLAs, who met the Congress supreme, Sonia Gandhi, AICC general secretary Hariprasad and other senior leaders earlier, are on their campaign to seek an ‘energetic leader’ in the state Congress before the assembly election. “Let us meet and put the demand before the AICC general secretary Rahul Gandhi,” said an MLA, wishing not to be quoted. The MLAs include Ashwin Joshi, Umang Singar and Brijraj Singh. Being operated on the instruction of a senior leader, the campaign initiated by senior party leader Mahesh Joshi, is now gaining momentum, causing more trouble for PCC chief Kantilal Bhuria.
