‘Safe Click’ Drive Launched To Control Cyber Crimes In Madhya Pradesh

Under the programme, police will raise awareness among internet users and bank customers not only in urban areas but even in remote rural areas of the state.

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): With an objective to raise cyber awareness among people, Madhya Pradesh Police has launched state-wide special awareness drive ‘safe click’ on Saturday which will conclude on February 11 on the occasion of Safer Internet Day.

Under the programme, police will raise awareness among internet users and bank customers not only in urban areas but even in remote rural areas of the state.

DGP Kailash Makwana said police efforts will be focused on approaching large number of people and raise awareness regarding cybercrimes and how to avoid them and keep themselves safe from cyber criminals. Police released posters with tips to remain safe from cybercrimes.

The posters released included general cyber security along with separate leaflets for women and senior citizens. Under ‘safe click’ campaign, cops in Bhopal (rural) launched awareness drives at different schools and gram panchayats in villages on instructions of SP (rural) Pramod Kumar Sinha.

Police officials approached students at different schools at Bairasia, Gunga, Nazirabad, Parwalia, Sukhi Sewania, Narola Sankal, Itkhedi and other areas and gave tips to students to remain safe from cybercrimes.

Moreover, under the guidance of Additional DCP Ratibadh Rashmi Agarwal Dubey, cops at Zone-1 of Bhopal launched awareness drives and held interactive sessions at different police stations. Cops at Ratibadh police station took out a cyber awareness rally with college students.
