BHOPAL : Some unidentified miscreants on Friday escaped after breaking the window pane of a contractor’s car and stealing a bag having cash Rs 17,000 and a cheque book kept inside at Koh-e-Fiza here.
According to the police, on Friday, contractor Mohammad Hamza, 26, of Jehangirabad lodged a complaint saying at around 4 pm, he went to visit one of his construction sites in Koh-e-Fiza parking his car near the local MPEB office at Imami Gate. When he returned after sometime from the site, he found the window of his car broken with the cash bag missing.
Following his complaint, the police registered a case under Section 379 of the IPC against unidentified accused and launched a manhunt.
Help of footages of CCTV cameras installed in the area are also being taken by the police to get breakthrough in the case. It is suspected that a single gang with multiple members is behind all the recent incidents.
