Bhopal: Traffic arrangements have been announced for the Dussehra festival and Moharram falling on October 11 and 12 respectively.
The effigies of Ravana would be burnt at Chola Road, TT Nagar, Bittan Market, BHEL, MVAM College, Shahpura Dussehra Maidan, Ashoka Garden, Kolar Dussehra Maidan, Jamboree Dussehra Maidan, Bairagarh Dussehra Maidan and Khushilal Ayurvedic College.
On October 11 at 7 pm, ‘Tazias’ would assemble at Chawki Imambara. Traffic will remain diverted on the route. The entry of heavy vehicles in the city will not be allowed from Khajuri Bypass, Mubarakpur Square, New Bypass Lambakheda, Sukhi Sevania Bypass, Patel Nagar, Bhanpur, Karond Square, Lalghati, Prabhat Petrol Pump Square, Subhash Nagar Crossing, Jinsi Square, Chola Road and Agarwal Dharamshala.
‘Dussehra Chal Samaroh’ will start from Banke Bihari Mandir, Marwari Road and conclude at Chola Dussehra Maidan via Chintaman Chauraha, Unani Shafakhana, Ghoda Nakkas and Bus Stand. No vehicle will be allowed to move from Bhopal Talkies Square and Alpana Trisection towards Bus Stand when the ‘Chal Samaroh’ will reach the Bus Stand.
Those wanting to go to Chola Dusssehra Maidan, they may go via Qazi Camp, DIG Bungalow and Karond Railway Crossing. Parking for Chola Dussehra Maidan will be allowed near stadium.
The movement of vehicles will be stopped between Rajiv Gandhi Square and Ravishankar Trisection during burning of Ravana at Arera Colony Bittan Market. They will go via 10 Number Market and Bhojpur Club.
The vehicles will be parked near Subhash School Ground, Ravishankar Community Hall and Banskhedi.
During burning of effigy of Ravana at Shahpura Shaitan Singh Trisection, vehicular traffic would be stopped from Manisha Market, Bharat Nagar, Trilanga and New Campion. At the time of burning of Ravana’s effigy at MVAM College, vehicular traffic from Roshanpura to Lily Talkies will go via old Aquarium, Khatlapura, PHQ and Lily Talkies. The traffic from Lily Talkies to Roshanpura Square will go from Traffic Control Room Trisection to Old Jail, Vallabh Bhawan Rotary, Link Road no.1, Mantralaya, Patrakar Square and Roshanpura.
When the procession of Tazias starts, the vehicles coming towards Chowki Imambara and Peergate, will go from VIP Road. Entry of vehicles from Bhopal Talkies to Chowki Imambara and Bus Stand to Jumerati, will be prohibited between 7 pm and 3 am.
