Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Following the scam in the constable recruitment exam-2023, the Madhya Pradesh police headquarters is making efforts to prevent any leakage in this year’s exam, said officials on Thursday.

Around 8,500 posts of different ranks and cadres will be filled in the coming future.  Officials involved in selection and recruitment have started preparing a checklist which will be used in the exam to be organised by the Employment Selection Board (ESB).

On the checklist is the Aadhaar update history at the time of written exam, physical examination, and at the time of joining. However, implementing the checklist would mean an increase in the checking time, and also the candidates spending more time in verification.

Manipulations reported in Aadhaar in the constable recruitment exam-2023 were to such an extent that one impersonator allegedly appeared on behalf of six candidates, despite the biometric and staff posted at the exam centres.

Data the king

ADG recruitment and selection Sonali Mishra told the Free Press that the department is planning to take the data of the candidate from the ESB, and then match the present and past data. She added that the certificates will be matched and verified in the given data. “Sometimes, the candidate is differently abled in one exam and perfect in another…The department is also studying the modus operandi the racketeers allegedly used in other states and in other exams,” she said.

UIDAI contacted

Since the police recruitment scam revealed that the Aadhaar security was compromised, officials said the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), the body which issues Aadhaar cards, has been contacted, asking for more security features and riders to check manipulations.
