Khargone : A troop of about thousands of ‘Panchkroshi-yatries’ left peacefully for their respected destinations, after performing the special ‘Pooja’ at the Nav-Grah Temple, on Thursday. They raised slogans praising the God and sung ‘Bhajans’ all the way long.

As per the information received, the region is veiled under the winter season. However, the devotees were noticed to be unaffected by the cold that was piercing them. Youth, men, women and even elderly people from various villages participated in the ‘Yatra’ with religious fervor and enthusiasm. It may be noted that the mentioned ‘Yatra’ is conducted in the memory of Saint Purnaband and Bondrubaba. The five-day-long Yatra is quite popular amongst people in the region. The devotees travel 70 kilometers during the Yatra. The first destination of the Yatra is Naagjhiri.

The Yatra commenced with the Pooja of Lord Ganesha and the nine planets i.e. the Navgrah. The Yatra was welcomed with flowers at many places. People who welcomed them also wished luck for their Yatra. The Yatra shall go and perform Pooja at Badghat, Bediyagaon, Mandleshwar and again at the Nagrah Temple.
