Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): During a major breakthrough, Bhopal police arrested a notorious gangster Zubair Maulana along with his 3 associates on Thursday night.
The arrest was made after a raid at a farmhouse which was reportedly the gangster's hideout.
The operation was carried out jointly by, police teams from Mangalwara, Tila Jamalpura, Crime Branch, and Hanumanganj. Zubair was accused of triggering violence in Mangalwara and Tila Jamalpura 3 days ago, along with his aides.
Zubair has been dodging clutches of police since last six months. Jahangirabad police along with Begamganj police of Raisen launched a manhunt to nab him.
Allegedly, the gang vandalised vehicles and opened fire to create panic among people. The incident is believed to be the result of an old rivalry with Mangalwara-based gangster Saad Khan.

Earlier, a CCTV footage surfaced in which Zubair was clearly seen opening fire. The video escalated a probe into the matter. Zubair Alias Maulana had shaved his head and beard to stay under disguise and mislead the cops. Zubair further sustained a fracture on his leg while attempting to flee. However, he has been discharged from the hospital.

Zubair's aides involved in the shootout also arrested
The criminal Mohd Shakeel alias Shanni Malik, who was absconding with him in the shootout, is the nephew of the criminal Mukhtar Malik. Apart from this, Faisal Khan alias JJ, Zaheer Khan were also arrested.
