Khargone: The job cardholders under MNREGA of Mangaon gram Panchayat do not get jobs for the last five years however; under this scheme, it is mandatory to provide 100 days employment to the cardholders in a financial year.
Thus enraged over this, the labourers and villagers went to headquarters and complaint about the same to in-charge SDM Ashish Khare.
Villagers informed him that their gram Panchayat did not provide them employment due to which their financial condition is getting worse. They complained that they have to migrate from place to place in search of job. They also alleged that the Panchayat used JCB machines and tractors instead of manual labour. It is worth noticing that in most of the gram Panchayats, the construction works approved under MNREGA are also openly being performed through JCB machines due to which labourers did not get work. This clearly showed that rampant corruption is prevailing in the scheme due to which the poor labourers have to suffer.
