Bhopal: City girl Shabista Khan has topped the city securing 29th position in National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) for admission to medical and dental colleges across the country. Sankalp Kesari secured all India 43rd rank. As many as 25 students of Sagar Public School (SPS) cleared NEET. In all 48,774 candidates appeared for the test in the state, 23638 cleared it.
Shabista, a student of GVM School, cracked NEET in her first attempt. She secured a percentile score of 99.99 and 671 marks. Attributing her success to her parents, the State NEET topper said she wants to pursue MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), New Delhi. Her mother is a house wife and father a businessman.
The other successful candidates from the state capital includes Priya Badola, Askay Vishwakarma, Aditi Patidar, Shaifali, Vivek Mudgal, Shivam, Shreya, Ashtha Gandhi, Avantika Gajbhiye, Amolika Roy, Archi Shukla, Devanshi Bansal, Harshit Verma, Mukul Sudhakar, Pratik Tiwari, Ritwik Garga, Sarvesh Rahate, Smiti Paliwal, Yash Gangere, Sufia Khan, Shivani Tiwari, and Shaili Lata.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had conducted the test on May 6. The test was conducted in 136 cities in 11 languages. The results have been put up on the official websites of the board — www.cbseneet.nic.in and www.cbseresults.nic.in.
