Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): "Discrimination will end, restrictions will be removed, and only then will daughters' dreams be fulfilled," said Dr. Veena Sinha, former director of health in Madhya Pradesh.
“It is necessary to eliminate and destroy all social evils and beliefs that prevent daughters from progressing, as only then will they be able to gain their rights and fulfill their dreams,” she said.
Chief guest Sinha was speaking at an event organized by Sarokar to mark National Girl Child Day at Techno India Group Public School in the city on Thursday. She highlighted key points, including how to identify gender discrimination, ways to eliminate it, and steps to empower girls and remove the restrictions imposed on them. Sinha also educated the children about health and its importance.
Secretary of Sarokar, Kumud Singh, explained to the students through a balloon game and quiz how girls are discriminated against in society. She also emphasized that discrimination against daughters or sons is equally wrong. Singh stated that everyone has the right to better education, health, security, and respect.
Various activities and quizzes were organized, and prizes were distributed to the winners. The principal of the school, Zeba Khan, welcomed the guests and handed out prizes to the students who won the quiz. The program was conducted by Krithika and concluded with the chanting of the slogan, "Hain Badlaav Hum."
