Dhar : Muharram was observed amid high security in Malwa and Nimar region on Tuesday. Heavy police force was deployed everywhere. This day is the first month of the Islamic calendar on which the Muslims took out a procession ‘Tajiyas’.
Khargone: On Tuesday, amid tight police security, the Tajiyas were taken out from the city wherein akhada artists gave mesmerizing performances. Tajiyas were decorated beautifully and passed through the main roads of the town.
Rajpur: Muharram was observed peacefully in the town. Colorful and lavishly adorned Tajiyas were taken out with religious fervor.
Sendhwa: Muharram was observed with religious fervour in the town. Tajiyas were taken out amid beats of Dhol. People took rounds of the Tajiya and made wishes.
Dhar: Muharram was observed peacefully in town and just like every year, Shakil Khan Mitra Mandal felicitated the akhara artists who gave mesmerizing performances during Tajiyas.
Garoth: Muharram, observed in the memory of Hajrat Imam Hussain was concluded peacefully in the town and Tajiyas were taken out amid Akhara performances.
Bakaner: Muharram was observed in the memory of Karbala martyrs and on this day children also kept fast and prayed for the peace and unity.
