Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A video of Madhya Pradesh state officer Priyanka Kadam dancing at an event has gone viral on social media, sparking a controversy over her selection under the bone-impaired disabled quota.

People are questioning how she could be so physically active if she was selected under the Divyang category in MPPSC exams.

In the videos, she can be seen dancing to drum beats, moving freely on the dance floor, and even running in some clips. This has led to doubts about the transparency of the recruitment process.

In response to the controversy, Priyanka Kadam defended herself by sharing her X-ray reports, claiming that both of her leg bones are damaged, and she has undergone surgery with rods implanted.

She stated that being disabled does not mean being confined to a wheelchair and that she dances despite pain by taking painkillers because she enjoys it.

However, the issue does not end here. Activists like Radhe Jat claim that many other people have been selected under the disabled quota despite their actual physical condition being different.

This has raised questions about the fairness of the MPPSC selection process, with calls for a proper investigation to ensure that only deserving candidates receive reservations.

Puja Khedkar Case Fuels Debate

This controversy comes at a time when concerns over quota misuse are already in focus. The Supreme Court recently extended protection from arrest for former IAS probationer Puja Khedkar, who is accused of misrepresenting her category in the UPSC application to claim OBC and disability benefits. Khedkar, who was sacked from service, is facing allegations of fraudulently availing quota benefits.

The court has scheduled the next hearing for March 17. The ongoing case has further intensified public scrutiny over the authenticity of government job selections under reserved categories.
