MP Updates: Parliament Committee Expresses Satisfaction Over Arrangements At Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve; Bhopal Municipal Corporation Feted For Excellence At All India Rose Exhibition

Parliament Committee Expresses Satisfaction Over Arrangements At Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Information and Communication Technology Management (CICTM) in Rajya Sabha visited Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve (BTR) on Saturday. The members reviewed the upgraded techniques being adopted for conservation of wildlife and biodiversity.

Expressing satisfaction over the steps taken for wildlife conservation, the committee headed by Niranjan Bakshi, member Gulam Ali and joint secretary of Rajya Sabha Dr Kushal Pathak, also assessed the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence in studying behavior of tigers and their population.

The committee suggested to study the modern techniques of international level and to adopt them in accordance with the Indian scenario. This would bring before the world the measure being taken for wildlife conservation in the country. Commissioner Shahdol Surbhi Gupta, collector Dharnendra Jain and others were present during the visit of the parliamentary committee.

Bhopal Municipal Corporation Feted For Excellence At All India Rose Exhibition

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Governor Mangu Bhai Patel felicitated Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Sunday for its outstanding performance at the 44th All India Rose Exhibition. BMC secured 25 first prizes and 20 second prizes in various categories, showcasing exceptional roses of diverse species.

The two-day event held at Rose Garden and organised by horticulture and food processing department in collaboration with Madhya Pradesh Rose Society, saw BMC winning the prestigious honour. It included Late Nitin Mehta Memorial Trophy for the best Indian HT rose and the Late G Harish Memorial Trophy for the best-striped rose variety.

The awards were presented in the presence of minister Narayan Singh Kushwaha and minister of state Krishna Gaur. The corporation’s horticulture team led by Additional Commissioner Devendra Singh Chauhan accepted the awards. Municipal commissioner Harendra Narayan congratulated the team for their achievements. The event highlighted BMC’s dedication in maintaining Bhopal’s reputation as a city of gardens.
