BHOPAL:Madhya Pradesh will soon have the locomotive manufacturing facility at Sehore.
The Daulat Ram Engineering Services Private Limited and National Railway Equipment Co USA have joined hands to bring world class locomotive manufacturing facility in India.
This diesel locomotive manufacturing facility will be the first to be put up in private sector by Indian entrepreneur CP Sharma and US- based entrepreneur Steven Beal.
Daulat Ram- NREC Locomotives Private Limited ( DRNRECL) joint venture will set up its factory to manufacture multi- genset dieselelectric railway engines at Sherpur in Sehore district.
Daulat Ram Engineering Services Private Limited is a Bhopal based industrial house having its roots in manufacturing of critical equipments for railway sector.
The company has its product range varying from traction alternators, traction motors, cooling systems, auxiliary generators, HVAC and host of auxiliary machines for locomotives and coaches. National Railway Equipment Co ( NREC) is the largest independent locomotive builder in the world having 6 facilities in the USA and Canada.
Today, NREC has several hundreds of N- ViroMotive Locomotives in service in the USA, UK, Australia, Europe, South Africa and a host of other countries.
