Narmadapuram (Madhya Pradesh): A stray dog bit at least six people-- three of a same family, at a posh colony in Narmadapuram on Sunday. The injured includes, a journalist, his father and son.

Frustrated with the lack of timely action, Ward Councillor Pooja Malviya has warned of a protest. She has demanded the civic body to get active and catch the notorious dog as soon as possible on Monday.

She stated, “If the municipal team does not catch the dog within an hour, I will sit on a protest.”

Among the victims were journalist Rudrapratap Singh, his father and son, and a woman. All the injured were rushed to the district hospital for treatment. They were given injections.

The stray dog has been terrorising the area since morning, leaving residents too scared to step out of their homes.

The aggressive animal has already bitten half a dozen people, and a police officer narrowly escaped an attack.

Despite residents informing the municipal corporation about the issue earlier in the day, no immediate action was taken. The authorities reportedly told the residents that the dog-catching team would only arrive after 1:30 PM.

This delay has left the residents feeling helpless and frustrated, as the stray dog continues to roam freely in the area.

Immediate action is being demanded to ensure the safety of the colony’s residents.
