The U16 boys’ hockey team of MP State Hockey academy has bagged the trophy of the Holland Elite Hockey Training-Cum Tournament organised at Netherland. The MP State Hockey academy’s team played the final match of the tournament against Dusseldorf Germany.Dusseldorf led the first half by 1-0 but in the 28th minute of the match, academy’s Priyo Batra scored the first goal for the team and relieved the pressure on the team. In the 37th minute, Haider Ali scored another goal. With his goal the score became 2-1 which provided the match and tournament winning edge to the team.
No other goal was scored until the last minute of the match and U16 boys’ hockey team of MP State Hockey academy registered its victory in the tournament. The team also defeated Amersfoort’s (MHC) team by 4-3 in the semi-finals to reach the finals. Sports and youth welfare department director SL Thaosen expressed his happiness and congratulated the team for this international-level achievement.
