Chhindwara (Madhya Pradesh): A woman has been arrested for allegedly killing her 55-year-old husband in Madhya Pradesh’s Chhindwara on Wednesday. The accused conspired to kill her husband with the help of her nephew and son-in-law. Both of them have also been arrested.

She confessed that her husband would physically assault her, forcing her to take the extreme step.

The deceased was later identified as 55-year-old Ashok Dhurve, whose missing complaint was filed earlier. The identification was confirmed by Dhurve's wife Kantabai.

The police found a black rope wrapped around the neck which further raised the suspicion. After strong suspicion the cops sent the body for postmortem which revealed that Dhurve was strangled to death. The police immediately registered a case of murder and initiated a probe.

During the investigation, the police exposed a shocking conspiracy involving Dhurve's own family members. Upon investigating call logs and call recordings the police revealed that Raju the deceased's nephew was in a regular contact with Kantabai, the deceased's wife.

On being strictly interrogated, Raju confessed to the crime and revealed Kantabai used to confide to him about her husband physically assaulting her. After which he disclosed that he along with Kanta Bai's son in law Jagdish Uike conspired to commit the crime, and kill Dhurve.

ASP draws a conclusion

Additional Superintendent of Police Ayush Gupta confirmed the arrests, and involvement of the deceased's own family stating that the entire conspiracy came to light through phone surveillance and intensified interrogation.

Kantabai, initially acted as a distressed wife and filed a missing report, was also arrested after her role was confirmed in the crime.
