MP Shocker! Raped By Kin, Newly-Wed Woman Delivers Baby Girl; FIR Registered Against Accused

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Raped by her brother-in-law (sister’s husband), a 20-year-old newly-wed woman gave birth to a baby girl. The victim’s husband who learnt about the pregnancy few months after the marriage left her. Shockingly, the victim’s elder sister is defending her husband and has accused her sister of framing him in false case of rape.

An FIR has been registered against the accused on the complaint of the victim at Govindpura police station on Thursday. The accused is being questioned and a DNA test will be conducted to ascertain the paternity of the girl child, police officials said.

Sub-Inspector Khet Singh said the victim hails from Seoni Malwa. She had come to Bhopal in January last year and in March came again to visit her sister during which she was raped by her brother-in-law Jitendra Sakleya at their home in Vikas Nagar.

The victim was married to a person in Harda on July 3, 2024. However, her husband left her at her parent’s home when he learnt that she was four months pregnant. In December last year, the victim gave birth to a baby girl, the SI added. Meanwhile, the baby girl was adopted by a family with consent of the victim.

Seeking of Aadhaar cards reveals truth

The incident came to light when the woman who adopted the baby girl asked for Aadhaar cards of the parents for getting birth certificate and vaccination of the baby girl. The victim approached Govindpura police when her sister and her husband refused to give her the documents. Police referred the case to Child Welfare Committee. On instructions of the committee, the child was handed over at ‘Matruchhaya’ and an FIR was registered against victim’s brother-in-law Jitendra Sakleya.
