Datia (Madhya Pradesh): A shocking incident came to light from Madhya Pradesh's Datia district on Tuesday, where an Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of Gondan Police Station allegedly died by suicide after releasing a video exposing corruption in police department.
ASI Pramod Pawan, of Gondan Police Station, has made serious allegations of mental harassment and involvement in illegal activities against Gondan police station in-charge Arvind Bhadauria, Tharet police station in-charge Anfasul Hasan, constable driver Rupnarayan Yadav and constable Arvind Yadav.
In the video, Pramod Pawan can be heard saying that he was opposing the irregularities going on at the police station level regarding gambling, betting and illegal sand mining for the past several days, due to which he was being harassed.
In this entire case, top police officials and FSL team have reached the spot. The mentioned police station in-charge and constable were accused of being involved in illegal activities earlier as well.
As soon as the information of the incident was received, senior police officers reached the spot.
At present, the body has been sent for post-mortem, and officials have launched an investigation into both the suicide and the serious allegations made by the deceased officer.
SP Suraj Verma said, "The case is being handled by DSP Ajaak. The video that has surfaced is also being investigated. A special team was formed, which will investigate this entire matter. The officers are assuring an impartial investigation into the case."
“An inquiry has been initiated. The video is being thoroughly examined, and all accused officers will be questioned. Action will be taken based on the findings,” DSP Garg said.
