Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh government on Tuesday finally accepted the resignation of poll aspirant Chhatarpur deputy collector Nisha Bangre, a day after Congress declared its candidate from Amla constituency. There were speculations that the opposition Congress party will field her from the Amla.

It is noteworthy that Bangre recently took out a foot march from Amla to Bhopal in order to get her resignation accepted. During the march, Nisha was allegedly beaten and forcefully detained by the police. She had reached Bhopal's Board Office Square to garland the statue of Dr Ambedkar, along with some Congress leaders.

HC asked govt to take decision

The matter of her resignation also reached the High Court. The High Court, principal bench of Jabalpur, had instructed the state government to take decision on departmental enquiry (DE) against SDM Nisha Bangre and her resignation by October 23.

Nisha Bangre had resigned on June 22 after she was denied leave for her house inauguration.
