MP March 25 Weather Update: Scorching Heat Returns To State! Temp Reach 39°C In Ratlam, Indore, Ujjain & More

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): After a spell of rain and hail, temperatures in Madhya Pradesh have started rising again. For the past two days, the maximum temperature has been above 39°C. On Monday, Ratlam recorded over 39°C for the second consecutive day. Similarly, Narmadapuram also experienced intense heat.

The Meteorological Department has predicted a heatwave in the state between March 27 and March 31. The heatwave is expected to affect the Malwa-Nimar region, including districts in Indore and Ujjain divisions such as Ratlam, Ujjain, Khargone, Khandwa, and Dhar.

Currently, temperatures in these cities range between 38°C and 39°C.

Weather Forecast

March 25: The temperature is expected to rise by 2-3°C, increasing the heat.

March 26: The sun will be strong, making the weather hotter. No rain is expected.

Heatwave to be severe in April-May

The summer season has officially begun, and the next four months will be very hot. The Meteorological Department predicts that 15-20 days of heatwaves will occur between March and May. April and May are expected to be the hottest months, with up to 30-35 days of hot winds affecting the region.

Residents are advised to take precautions and stay hydrated as temperatures continue to rise.

Temperature To Rise Further

According to the Meteorological Department, a heatwave is declared when the maximum temperature crosses 40°C or rises 4.6°C above normal.

Officials predict that the temperature may increase by 2-3°C in the coming days, pushing it beyond 40°C. On Monday, Ratlam recorded the highest temperature at 39.2°C, followed by Narmadapuram (38.9°C), Dhar (38.6°C), Khargone (37.2°C), Shajapur (37.1°C), and Narsinghpur (37°C). Other districts like Guna, Mandla, Damoh, Khandwa, Shivpuri, Khajuraho, and Tikamgarh recorded temperatures above 36°C.

Among major cities, Bhopal recorded 35.5°C, Indore 36.8°C, Gwalior 36.1°C, Ujjain 37.5°C, and Jabalpur 35°C.
