MP March 2 Weather Update: Strong Heat Expected For Next 4 Months, Hot Winds Likely After March 15

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The weather in Madhya Pradesh during March will bring heat, hot winds (loo), clouds, and some light rain.

During the first week, the sky will be cloudy. In the fourth week, hot winds (loo) will blow in many areas. Hot winds may blow for 3 to 4 days in Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Chambal, Sagar, and Rewa divisions.

After March 20, some districts may also get light rain.

Hot Winds to Be Stronger in April-May
It is important to note that the summer season starts from March. The next 4 months will bring strong heat. The weather department has estimated that hot winds (loo) will blow for 15 to 20 days between March and May. The effect of hot winds is expected to be stronger in April and May, when hot winds may blow for 30 to 35 days.

Senior scientist from Bhopal Meteorological Department said that the rainfall in March is expected to be less than normal. On the other hand, temperatures are likely to be higher than normal. The state will also start feeling hot winds (loo) from March itself.

Before this, on Saturday-Sunday night, strong winds blew in more than 24 villages of Morena district. Along with rain, hailstones the size of chickpeas also fell.

Crops were affected in many villages including Mrigpura, Leela Ka Pura, Maithana, Hansraj Ka Pura, Bandha, Nayak Pura, and Ajit Pura in Sumawali, Dimni, and Ambah areas.

The senior scientist said that after March 15, when temperatures in cities cross 40 degrees Celsius, the effect of hot winds will be seen.

The weather department has also predicted that April and May will be the hottest months this year. During these two months, temperatures in Gwalior, Chambal, Jabalpur, Rewa, Shahdol, and Sagar divisions may cross 45 degrees Celsius. Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain, and Narmadapuram divisions will also experience high heat.
