Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): There is a flood situation in 4 districts of Madhya Pradesh - Chhatarpur, Tikamgarh, Ashoknagar and Guna. On Sunday, many villages of these districts were surrounded by floods.

On Monday, the effect of monsoon trough and cyclonic circulation will be seen in Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior-Chambal. There is an alert of heavy rain in a total of 35 districts. Out of these, there is a possibility of very heavy rain in 9 districts.

Earlier on Sunday, more than 2 inches of rain fell in Guna in 9 hours. One and a quarter inches of water fell in Sheopur, more than half an inch of water fell in Khargone-Tikamgarh while half an inch of rain fell in Pachmarhi.

In many districts including Bhopal, Betul, Datia, Gwalior, Indore, Raisen, Ratlam, Shivpuri, Ujjain, Chhindwara, Damoh, Jabalpur, Mandla, Sagar, Balaghat, Shajapur, Dewas, Sehore, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Vidisha, there was sometimes heavy and sometimes light rain. Rain fell at night also.

Very heavy rain alert in 9 districts

According to the Meteorological Department, there is an alert of very heavy rain in Neemuch, Mandsaur, Agar-Malwa, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Guna, Ashoknagar, Shivpuri and Sheopur on Monday. There may be up to 8 inches of rain here in 24 hours.

Heavy rain may occur in Gwalior, Morena, Bhind, Datia, Niwari, Tikamgarh, Chhatarpur, Panna, Satna, Rewa, Mauganj, Sidhi, Singrauli, Umaria, Shahdol, Sagar, Raisen, Sehore, Shajapur, Dewas, Indore, Ujjain, Ratlam, Jhabua, Dhar and Alirajpur. There will be light rain in Bhopal.

Effect on Western part

According to weatherman the monsoon trough is passing through the state. At the same time, there is also activity of a cyclonic circulation system. Due to this, there is a phase of rain in the state. For the next two days, more effect will be seen in the western part i.e. Indore, Ujjain, Bhopal division. After this the system will weaken.
