Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): To enhance the investment climate, the state government held a high-level meeting with the Government of India’s task force on Compliance Reduction and Deregulation.
Discussions focused on streamlining regulatory processes and easing compliance burdens on businesses.
The session was chaired by Raghvendra Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion (DIPIP). During the discussion, Neelam Shami Rai, Secretary at the Ministry of Textiles and head of the Task Force, emphasized the crucial role of policy simplification in fostering industrial growth and enhancing the overall ease of doing business in the sector.

The session brought together key industry representatives from prominent organizations, including PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), Laghu Udyog Bharti, and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
These industry leaders actively participated in the discussions, providing valuable insights and feedback on 23 priority areas identified by the task force. They highlighted key challenges faced by businesses and offered recommendations for necessary reforms to streamline processes, reduce bureaucratic hurdles, and create a more investment-friendly environment.
The interactive nature of the session facilitated a productive exchange of ideas, ensuring that industry concerns were heard and addressed at the policy level. The discussions aimed to drive meaningful improvements in regulatory frameworks, ultimately contributing to a more robust and dynamic industrial landscape.
