MP Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla Leads TB-Free Campaign In Katni, Applauds Community Contribution

Katni (Madhya Pradesh): Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla visited Madhya Pradesh's Katni district and participated in the 100-day TB-Free India campaign organized at the district hospital. The event took place on Thursday.

During the event, the Deputy CM Shukla interacted with TB patients and their caregivers, distributed kits, and lauded the contributions of "TB Mitras" (TB Friends) who play a vital role in supporting patients and raising awareness.

According to information, Deputy CM Shukla highlighted that Katni district currently has 205 TB patients, supported by 155 TB Mitras. He praised inspiring acts by local youth, including Khushi, a young girl who donated ₹4,200 from her savings to help TB patients, and Meenakshi, who volunteered to bear the treatment cost of a patient. Shukla urged citizens to actively contribute to the mission, emphasizing that eliminating TB is a collective responsibility.

Additionally, the Deputy CM addressed concerns regarding the emerging HMP virus, assuring that the state government is fully prepared to tackle it. He inspected the district hospital's infrastructure and pledged to address any shortcomings promptly. Furthermore, Deputy CM Shukla reaffirmed the government’s commitment to fulfilling the Prime Minister's vision of a TB-free India while ensuring readiness to combat new health challenges.
