Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): People in Madhya Pradesh can expect some relief from the biting cold over the next 4 to 5 days, according to the Meteorological Department.

From Wednesday onwards, both day and night temperatures are likely to rise slightly. However, fog may still affect some districts. On Wednesday morning, dense fog covered parts of the Gwalior-Chambal region.

Weather expert V.S. Yadav explained that cold wave and cold day conditions have ended for now. Temperatures are expected to rise for the next few days, reducing the intensity of the cold.

However, after an active western disturbance causes snowfall in North India, cold northern winds will return, bringing back freezing conditions to the state.

Fog Expected
Dense fog is likely to remain in Gwalior, Datia, Morena, and Bhind. Parts of Shivpuri may also experience light fog.

Lowest Temperatures Recorded in Pachmarhi and Other Cities
On Monday and Tuesday nights, several cities recorded a drop in night temperatures. Pachmarhi, the state’s only hill station, reported a minimum temperature of 1.6°C, making it colder than Shimla, Nainital, Jammu, Katra, Dharamshala, Palampur, and Dehradun.

Bhopal recorded 4°C, Gwalior and Jabalpur 5°C, Ujjain 8°C, and Indore 10.6°C. Other cold spots included Mandla and Umaria at 3°C, Naugaon at 3.8°C, and Rajgarh at 4.4°C. Temperatures in Tikamgarh, Raisen, Rewa, Chhindwara, Malajkhand, and Satna also dropped below 7°C. However, daytime temperatures showed a slight increase of 1-2°C on Tuesday.
