Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, after jointly inspecting flood-affected areas with Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, said that the state government is taking all necessary steps to support the affected people.

While addressing the media in Gwalior, Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia praised Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and said that all possible help would be provided to the flood-affected people.

Notably, 22 people in Shivpuri and 7 in Guna lost their lives in floods here.

According to information, the two leaders toured the heavily impacted districts of Shivpuri, Guna, and Ashoknagar, where several lives were lost and much damage was reported due to heavy rains.

“Aaj Mukhyamantri ji ke saath poore shetra ka vistaar se daura kiya. Teenon prabhavit zilon mein gaye. Barish ke karan jo tabahi hui hai, uska andaza lagaya,” Scindia said, addressing the media in Gwalior.

He added that Chief Minister Yadav has instructed officials to act quickly to assess the damage.
“Mukhyamantri ji ne khud prashasan ko nirdesh diya hai ki faslon ka, gharon ka aur pashuon ki maut ka turant survey ho, aur jinko nuksan hua hai unko jaldi se jaldi muawza mile,” Scindia said.

Scindia also highlighted that the rescue operations led by the army, NDRF, and SDRF saved many lives. In Shivpuri alone, 400 people were rescued, followed by 300 in Guna and 150 in Ashoknagar.

He expressed grief over the loss of 22 lives in Shivpuri and 7 in Guna.

“Jab tak halat control mein nahi aaye, hum log raat 4 baje tak jaagte rahe. Har ek ghante mein halat ka update liya. Yeh sirf sarkari zimmedari nahi, insani farz bhi hai,” Scindia added.

The minister also mentioned that crops such as maize and groundnut have been severely affected, adding to the distress of farmers.

The government has assured that relief measures, including compensation and rehabilitation support, will be provided without delay.

Scindia reaffirmed the Centre and State’s joint commitment to help the people during this crisis.
