Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): To attract investment, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will go on a tour of Dubai and Spain from July 13 to July 19.

He will meet various industrialists and appeal to them to invest in Madhya Pradesh.

Notably, before the Global Investors Summit that was held in Bhopal in February this year, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had visited several countries, including the United Kingdom, Japan, and Germany, with the aim of attracting more foreign investment to Madhya Pradesh.

In yet another major decision taken by the state government, the cabinet has decided to waive off the interest and penalty amounting to ₹84.17 crores.

This amount was earlier imposed on around 35 lakh farmers who had failed to pay the water cess for using canal water to irrigate their farmland.

In addition to this, the state government has received a significant amount of ₹1,478.13 crore under the CAMPA (Compensatory Afforestation Fund Management and Planning Authority) fund from the central government.

This fund will be utilised for various purposes, such as village rehabilitation, afforestation, increasing forest cover, and other related environmental activities.

Furthermore, the cabinet has given its approval to the Indian Stamp Act Amendment Bill.

This amendment is expected to help the state government generate an additional revenue of approximately ₹212 crores.
