PM Modi To Visit Ashoknagar On April 13; Union Minister Amit Shah To Seal Dairy Pact In Bhopal

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the Shri Anandpur Trust Ashram in MP's Ashoknagar district on April 13. On the same day, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will be in Bhopal to attend a key dairy sector event.

Shah will oversee the signing of an agreement between the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), the state government, and milk unions at Ravindra Bhavan. The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav during a cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

CM Yadav informed that Madhya Pradesh has received central projects worth over ₹4,000 crore. These include four approved national highway projects such as the ₹1,426 crore Gwalior Western Bypass (28.5 km) and the ₹688 crore Sagar Bypass.

To ensure fair prices for farmers, procurement of chana, masoor, mustard, and tur has begun. The government aims to procure 7.28 lakh metric tonnes of chana by April 21 at a minimum support price (MSP) of ₹5,200 per quintal. So far, 2.6 lakh farmers have registered, and 7,871 metric tonnes have been procured.

Wheat procurement crosses 31 lakh metric tonnes

Wheat procurement is also underway at ₹2,600 per quintal (including bonus). The state has procured 31.36 lakh metric tonnes of wheat, with ₹4,012 crore already paid to over 2.49 lakh farmers. The CM also highlighted ongoing Agrovation projects in Mandsaur, Damoh, Morena, and Narsinghpur, and shared that a grand play on Emperor Vikramaditya will be staged at Delhi's Red Fort from April 12–14.
