Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The cabinet of Madhya Pradesh has approved the proposal to increase the amount of cow maintenance given to cow shelter homes in the state. Earlier, Rs 20 was given for cow fodder and Rs 29 for maintenance of cow.

Now, Rs 40 will be given for the maintenance per cow. More than this, the government has decided to open comprehensive cow sanctuaries on the PPP model. This will help in eradicating the problem of stray cattle.

Between 5,000 to 20,000 stray cattle can be kept at such cow sanctuaries. A minimum of one and a half years and a maximum of three years will be taken for the construction of cow sanctuaries.

Other than this, a decision has been taken to rename the CM Pashupalan Vikas Yojana as Dr Ambedkar Pashupalan Vikas Yojana. Moreover, the government has decided to improve the quality of education in all government schools.

Deputy CM talks about fake doctor case

Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla said to Free Press that as far as the Damoh incident is concerned (wherein an alleged fake doctor performed heart surgery), the government will take strong action based on the outcome of the probe.

It is a serious case, and the law will take its own course. The government has taken cognizance of the case and arrested the accused in a short span. However, he conceded that the case stresses the need for deeper surveillance to check such kinds of activities.
