BHOPAL : Delayed monsoon has now become active across the state. So far 119.8 milimetre rain has been registered across the state which is 54 per cent less than normal average rain of 260.3 milimetre of the period.
Till July 15, eastern Madhya Pradesh registered 156.3 mm of rain which is 47 per cent less than the average. Although Mandla recorded the highest rainfall of 265.2 mm in Eastern Madhya Pradesh, but it is 28 per cent less than average rainfall of this period. Singrauli recorded the lowest rainfall with 89 mm which is 61 per cent less than the normal.
The situation vis a vis rainfall in Western Madhya Pradesh is comparatively not good. Ratlam district recorded 14.1 mm of rainfall which is 94 per cent less than normal average. So far, 91.2 mm rainfall has been registered here which is 61 per cent less than normal rains of 232.2 mm.
