ASHTA: A 30-year-old married woman belonging to Kharpa village was raped at Soolkhedi village under Ashta police station limits on Saturday.  According to report, the three accused of the same village gang raped the married woman when she had gone to attend nature’s call on May 2 at night and later threatened to kill her if complaint was made at police station. Sources said that the victim told her husband when he returned from his work in the evening. The accused intercepted the couple on their way when they were going to lodge a complaint against them. The victim complained to the superintendent of police (SP) Dr Raman Singh Sikarwar. A case was registered after the investigation.

The victim lodged a complaint against three accused including Vikarma, son of Kishanlal, Radheyshyam, son of Lajram, and Rahul, son of Deva, who gang raped her.The victim in her complaint to SP said the accused used to keep an eye on her movement and also created ruckus after consuming liquor. SP Dr Sikarwar directed the Kotwali police station in-charge to investigate the matter and later sent the case to Ashta police station.
