Man Shoots Son With Second Wife’s Help After He Demands Property Share In MP’s Jabalpur

The accused father reportedly attacked him with the help of his second wife.

Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A youth was allegedly shot and injured by his own father for asking for his share in property in Jabalpur on Thursday. The youth sustained deep wound on his and is currently being treated in the hospital.

The incident took place in Shiv Dham Nagar area after the son asked for his and his mother’s share in the family property. The accused father reportedly attacked him with the help of his second wife.

According to information, the victim, Akash Patel, survived the attack and managed to run to the nearby police station despite being injured.

He told police that this was not the first time his father tried to kill him. He had earlier filed a complaint about a similar attempt on his life.

According to Akash, his father divorced his first wife in 2012 and later married again.

After Akash demanded their share in the property, his father grew angry and kept pressuring him to withdraw his previous complaint. When Akash refused, the father and stepmother allegedly planned and carried out the shooting.

The Madhotal police have registered a case and started an investigation. Akash is currently being treated in the hospital.

The incident has shocked locals, and further legal action is underway.
