BHOPAL : A 29-year-old man was rescued from Bhadbhada dam under Ratibad police station area on Tuesday. Victim had a debt of Rs 5.5 lakh and was not able to repay but refused committing suicide.
According to the police a man was rescued while he was drowning at Bhadbhada dam in the early morning hours and was rushed to a nearby hospital where he was discharged after providing primary treatment. He has been identified as Saurabh Jain (29), a native of Damoh who currently resides at Minal Residency.
Investigating officer SI Jaikaran Parihar, posted at MP Nagar police station, said that in the initial investigation Saurabh confessed that he was heavily burdened with debts after his venture Disk Software at MP Nagar failed and he owed Rs 5.5 lakh which he was not in a position to repay.
However, he denied that he tried to commit suicide and claimed that he fell into water accidentally.
Police said that a missing person complaint was lodged with the MP Nagar police on July 27 after Parihar went missing.
