Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): A 38-year-old woman working at a beauty salon in Gwalior was allegedly raped and threatened by a man on pretext of a better job offer.

He spiked her cold drink with a sedative. After she became unconscious, he assaulted her and recorded nude videos and photos of her.

He had been blackmailing her since 2023.

According to information, the incident took place at a hotel in the City Center area, where the woman worked.

The man, identified as Ajay Sharma from Dabra, befriended the woman and invited her to a hotel, claiming he had a job offer for her. Once there, he spiked her cold drink with a sedative, and after she passed out, he raped her. When she regained her senses, she found herself without clothes, and he had also took nude photos and videos of her without her consent.

Fearing for her safety, the woman left her job and moved to Indore, cutting off contact with Ajay.

However, in 2023, Ajay came to Indore, threatening to release the videos and continuing to exploit her. He demanded money from her, and when she could no longer pay, he once again posted the explicit content online. The woman had previously reported the matter to the police in Indore, and although Ajay apologized and promised to stop, he continued to blackmail her.

When she refused to pay any further, Ajay once again made the videos and photos public.

The woman then filed a formal complaint with the police, leading to an investigation. Additional Superintendent of Police Krishna Lalchandani stated that the police are actively searching for the accused and will arrest him soon.
