BHOPAL: A person who claimed that he can hack EVMs has been caught by the Congress candidate from Bhind Ramesh Dubey on Wednesday. The accused had been arrested by the Padav police of Gwalior district. Dubey informed Free Press that one Abhay Joshi resident of Lucknow Uttar Pradesh had contacted him and claimed that he can hack the data of EVM. Joshi arranged a meeting with Dubey in Gwalior.
To transfer the data he demanded Rs 2.50 lakh per machine, he claimed that he has people in the district administration and can easily get access to strongroom. Joshi claimed Dubey that he can hack the machine and transfer the votes of other party to his account and also claimed that no one can transfer the Dubey’s vote in others account. Providing the modus operandi to Dubey, Joshi claimed that he can hack the machine and transfer the votes of other party to his account and also claimed that no one can transfer the Dubey’s vote in others account.
After entering the room he will transfer the data very easily, he also demanded that half of the amount has to be given in advance and the rest after the work is done. SP Gwalior Navneet Bhasin informed that accused is a fraudster and he has been booked under section 420 of IPC. The police will collect his call records and probe the case further.
