Nagda : The Malwa region celebrated the festival of Dussehra (Vijaydashmi) with great zeal. A lot of enthusiasm was seen in the public to celebrate the festival. People turned out in large numbers to witness the win of good over evil with the burning of effigies of demon king Ravana.

As a part of celebration huge effigies of Ravana,his brother Kumbhkarna and son Meghnad were kept in open spaces and people dressed up like Lord Rama and Sita came and shoot arrows of fires on these effigies.

After the burning of effigies the people wished each other and celebrate the festival with their loved ones. The age old tradition of “Shastra-Pujan” was also performed in the region.

People worshipped their fire-arms to honor the valor of Lord Rama and as a gesture to stand against the evils.

Khargone: On the festival of Vijaydashmi, the swayamsevaks of RSS carried out Path-Sanchalan in the city. The Path-Sanchalan began from Saraswati Vidhya Mandir at BTI road and reached back at the school after passing through the main roads of the city. RSS also performed “Shastra-Pujan” at the school. Nikhilesh Maheshwari addressed the gathered swayamsevaks and appealed to the people of the country to unite against the evil forces. Pradeep Mahajan, Jagdeesh Bhavsar and others were also present on the occasion.

“Shastr-Pujan” was also organised at DRP Line in which DIG DK Arya, SP Amit Singh conducted the Pujan. The police jawans after the Pujan fired shots to celebrate the festival. ASP Rajesh Dandotiya and other police personnel were also present on the occasion.

Nagda : Path Sanchalan being conducted on the occasion of Vijay Dashmi. The RSS candidates also performed Dhwajpuja at Ramleela ground. The path on which the Sanchalan was conducted, was decorated with flowers resembling the map of India.

Khachrod : Akhil Bhartiye Kshatriye Samaj on the holy-festival of Vijaydashmi perfomed “Shastr-Pujan” under the guidance of St Tota Ram Ji and Ram Narayan Ram Ji at Ram Dwara Dham.

The gathered people also threw light on the life and principles of Lord Rama.

Dr Virendra Singh Bhuvana, Krishan Pal Singh Pawar and others were also present in the Pujan.

Gandhwani : The festival of Dussehra was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm in the village. A 21 feet high effigy of demon king Ravana was burned on the holy occasion of Dussehra at the bank of Gandharv Rivwer. People in large numbers turned out to see the demolishment of the demon king. Patel Mota ji Mukati of Gandhwani village set fire in the effigy of Ravana.

Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Gandhwani Mangi Lal Ajnaare, Deputy-Sarpanch Ravindra Rathore, Secretary Jagdish Arya along with the large number of people was also present during the occasion.
