Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): The Vikram Vyapar Mela in Madhya Pradesh’s Ujjain has been extended until April 9, after the instructions of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav.

Transport Secretary Manish Singh has also issued the necessary orders to implement this extension.

As part of the fair, the Madhya Pradesh government had announced a 50% rebate on lifetime motor vehicle tax, earlier, for specific vehicles.

This benefit applies to non-transport vehicles like motorcycles, cars, and personal omni buses, as well as light transport vehicles purchased during the fair. Initially, this exemption was valid until March 30.

Tax rebate extended

Now, due to the extension of the fair, the tax rebate has also been extended until April 9. The notification issued by the Transport Department highlights the conditions under which this exemption applies.

This decision has been expected to encourage more vehicle purchases during the fair. This would benefit buyers and boost business activity in the region.
