Madhya Pradesh To Launch Jal Ganga Jal Samvardhan Campaign From March 30

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Madhya Pradesh cabinet has decided to start the Jal Ganga Jal Samvardhan Campaign from March 30.

It will continue till June 30. Under this campaign, water bodies will be conserved across the state.

To inform the next generation about the beginning of the Hindu calendar from Gudi Padwa, the government has decided to celebrate Gudi Padwa festival with a grand celebration and has appealed to people to participate in this event.

A proposal was approved to digitise the land records of farmers, which will incur an expenditure of Rs 141 crore.

The cabinet also gave its approval for the creation of a new Forest Division in Pandhurna district.

To promote cultural values and develop interest in general knowledge among Anganwadi children, Anganwadi workers will be given training.

The cabinet further approved a proposal to add a new clause to the Town and Country Planning Act, allowing other development agencies, apart from the Development Authority and SADA, to invest in development projects. However, the condition is that the project must not be less than Rs 500 crore.

Additionally, wheat procurement will start from March 15, and a bonus of Rs 175 per quintal will be given on MSP.
