Madhya Pradesh records 99% vaccinations, Bhopal leads the state with 115%

Over 9.52 lakh people get jabs on the first day of the three-day drive.

BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh recorded 9.52 lakh vaccinations on the first day of the three-days vaccination drive on Thursday. Achieving 99 per cent target, the state saw 9,52,694 people getting jabs against Covid 19. With this the state tally has climbed to 2,12,60,005. The state was allotted around 10 lakh doses of vaccines for the three days vaccination programme in the state.

Indore was on the top in terms of† the vaccination while Bhopal led in terms of percentage among districts in the state. Indore recorded 74,791 vaccinations, while the single day figure in Bhopal stood at 35,153. Jabalpur recorded 40,979 inoculations. Bhopal recorded 115 per cent vaccinations while Indore and Burhanpur recorded 109 per cent each.

Gwalior recorded 40,363, Ujjain 51,134,† Rajgarh 28,278, Dewas 25,385 and Ratlam 36,442.

The districts which reported lowest vaccination turnout are - Sheopur 6,095, Damoh 9,476, Datia 9,426, Ashok Nagar 9,549, Anuppur 9605, Panna8,683, Dindori 8,787and† Umaria recorded 8,817 vaccinations on the day one.

Similarly, in terms of percentage, Shajapur and Barwarni reported 108 % . Khandwa and Sehore reported 107 % . Neemuch, Harda and Katni reported 105% vaccination.

Previously, pan-india vaccination drives was conducted with over 50 lakh doses in the state which had taken the lead in country.
