Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Chief Minister Mohan Yadav said that Madhya Pradesh has made significant progress in comparison to the period of previous Congress regime.

Shedding the light on development plans of the present state government, CM Yadav said that a strategy has been chalked out to establish one helipad in every district. Shortly, airports of Satna and Datia will soon become operational.

CM Yadav was addressing the assembly on Thursday during the vote of thanks on the Governor’s speech. He highlighted that during the Congress regime, the per capita income was just ₹11,718, whereas under the BJP government, it has now risen to ₹1,52,615.

CM presents comparisons

The CM added, during the Congress regime, the budget size was just ₹23,161 crore, whereas it has now increased to ₹4,21,032 crore. The industrial growth rate during the Congress tenure was negative at -0.06%, but it has now increased to 24%.

Agricultural production was only 3% under the previous Congress government, whereas it has now increased to 10.8%.

In the past year, the state has received two new tiger reserves, making it the leading state in populations of tigers, leopards, vultures, wolves, and other wildlife.

He spoke at length about various achievements of the government.

Taking part in the debate on the motion of thanks on Governor’s speech, Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar made a blistering attack on government, alleging that Governor’s speech find mention of providing electricity connection in ₹5 but there was no mention in this regard in finance minister’s speech.

Tribals’s form 22 percent of total population but government is unable to provide basic facilities like hostels to their children. He also spoke about transport and nursing scam.
